Sustainably Chic Fall Favorites

The heatwave that has taken over NYC these past few weeks finally seems to be wavering, and Labor Day is right around the corner. That means it’s soon time to put away the Hawaiian shirts and flowery dresses, get out the layers, and prepare for sweater weather. To celebrate, we’ve got some of our best sustainable fall looks and the upcycled bags to match. All items features are made from environmentally focused fashion brands, and as always, the second outfit will be put together entirely from vegan products as well.

Bag 1: Rust and Fray Black Vogue (50% off!)

First bag is the Black Vogue. Strong and chic, this bag is perfect for the woman on the go. The spacious interior will hold everything a working woman needs in her day plus more, and the understated design and color are perfect to transition out of the bright colors of spring into the more down to earth autumn feel.

Outfit 1

Autumn is the perfect season for turtlenecks, so we’ve got a look based around a classic black turtleneck. The Everlane plaid jacket and white pants (rules be damned) contrast nicely with the black top. The knee high boots makes sure the outfit doesn't get a little too formal, because we want the power hour vibes here. The Matt & Natt belt and the designer shades from Retrospecced add the finishing touches to this class act look. We also recommend topping off the look with a sustainably sourced lipstick for a pop of color.

Jacket: Everlane Women's Wool Oversized Blazer, Plaid

Pants: Everlane Slim Leg Crop Pants, Sandstone

Turtleneck: Kotn Fitted Turtleneck, Black

Shoe: Adelante Shoe Co The Condesa, Black

Belt: Matt and Nat Ora Wide Vegan Belt, Black

Glasses: RetroSpecced Bvlgari Black Plastic

Bag 2: Rust and Fray Michelle, Vegan Alligator

Next is the Michelle Vegan Alligator bag. The design of the bag gives off modern power executive vibes, and the vegan alligator leather gives it that extra shine that turns the eye. A statement bag for a New York lifestyle.

Outfit 2

This next outfit is the going out look, because Friday Night is always in season. A flouncy red top and a black pencil shirt are always a great combination, but with the stunningly unique black and ruby Sock Boot the outfit goes next level with its contemporary fashion feel. Finally, finished up from some gold hoops by ABLE. And as we said earlier, everything in this outfit is vegan.

Top: Cuyana Seersucker Flounce Top, lipstick

Bottom: The Reformation Citron Skirt, Black

Shoes: Rafa SOCK book, Sloe and Ruby

Earring: ABLE Primary Hoops
